This tough woman came to life as I was breaking out of my black-and-white phase and beginning to bring color in, still drawn to painting directly on wood. She feels world-weary, her scars carrying their own quiet stories.

The match in her hand hints at whats to come, a spark ready to catch, something that could turn and burn. Theres a rough-and-tumble edge to her, with a touch of steampunk in the air. That was the headspace I was moving through at the time.
