A beautiful mix of bright colors and layered textures, with lightning clouds, graffiti-style writing, and a sense of mystery in the ground and depths. An observing angel, a wonderful need camera on the right, watches the exaggerated muscular tension of restrained horsepower held just beneath the surface.
Rig contemplates communication on his rotary phone, cigarette smoke becoming clouds in a distant dreamland.
This piece is a contemplation on what it means to be the meek,” and the idea of blessing through restraint, of trying your best. Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the land.
Take One refers to its process as much as its meaning, painted over perhaps 1 or 2 earlier works, like film takes and second chances in life.
The colors are electrified, bold, and alive with movement, yet held in check, as if everything is just about to happen. A collage of thoughts suspended in motion.
