Similar to the notes of a song joining together to create harmony, or the brushstrokes of a painting merging to display an artist’s emotions, this piece is a composition of ideas. Apollos, the tin man, the musician, the storyteller, the folk-poet plays his song for East in a space and time that is all their own. East, the strong, the resilient listens and gazes at him with all affection and with a look of knowing. This piece is about the splendor of creating something, the idea of “home” being another person and the beauty of shared dreams.
