World Renown Entertainer, HUEY LEWIS Presented with "Stars & Stripes"

World renowned music entertainer, Huey Lewis, founder of the 1980’s band Huey Lewis and the News recently performed at The Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Lake Charles, LA. Huey Lewis’ band whose hits include "The Power of Love", featured in the hit film “Back to the Future”, “The Heart of Rock ‘N Roll” and “I Want A New Drug” played to an energetic and welcoming audience.

Long time friend and Houston Art Gallery owner, John Lockhart attended the concert and presented Lewis with an early birthday present: “Stars & Stripes” by Jimmy Houston. John Lockhart said, “Huey Lewis achieved his American dream through hard work and natural talent. I wanted to present him with this painting. I have known Huey forty years. We each followed our passion. It is fantastic to see that his fans love him, appreciate the live performances and enjoy his upbeat and timeless music after all these years."
