"Stars & Stripes" by Retro-Animation Artist, Jimmy Houston Finds A New Fan In Renowned Music Entertainer Huey Lewis


Jimmy Houston, a retro-animation artist and native Houstonian has a new art fan in renowned music entertainer, Huey Lewis, founder of the 1980’s band Huey Lewis and the News. The band recently performed at The Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Lake Charles, LA. Huey Lewis’ band whose hits include "The Power of Love", featured in the hit film “Back to the Future”, “The Heart of Rock ‘N Roll” and “I Want A New Drug” played to an energetic and welcoming audience.


Lewis immediately connected to “Stars & Stripes” and exclaimed, “I love it! I know exactly where I am going to put this painting.” “Stars & Stripes” by Jimmy Houston features a patriotic tin-man named, Murphy. “Murphy symbolizes the backbone of the American spirit. Dreams come true with hard work and talent, ” says John Lockhart. “Huey Lewis & Jimmy Houston are tremendous talents and have a passion for achieving their American dream.” Lewis, whose friendship with Lockhart has spanned over forty years, celebrates a birthday on July 5th.
